Halloween

Hey all, Happy belated HALLOWEEN.

Down under, here in Australia, we don't celebrate Halloween (unfortunately) but last night i got to go to my brothers girlfriends Halloween/25th birthday/housewarming, so i got to go to my first halloween party, which at 20 has been a long time coming =D

Anyway here are some piccies, i went as a Grecian Goddess =P

(slightly image heavy, but not too bad =D )

For the inspiration behind my sisters boyfriends costume, Click HERE (it's worth it lol) . Tim (sis's bf) went as Joey (the guy on the right in the photo with the article), and Ben (bro's housemate) went as Matthew (the guy on the right)

My sister went similar to me, but more of a roman feel to my greek

My brother, who is a chef, went as urm... well, you figure it out.

Thats a pig's heart around his neck, and a row of chicken heart hanging from his waist, and yes they are real.
The chicken heart apparently weren't prominent enough ... so he moved the up to around his neck

My brothers girlfriend, Kirsty, whose party it was, went as a US Navy Read Admiral =P

I love how she's got the hot sexy costume, and he's got meat hanging around LOL

HEY ALL, ok so i haven't posted about nething other then icons or my coms in like ... FOREVER, so i thought it was about time that i did =D

WARNING LONG POST AND FAIRLY IMAGE HEAVY haha

Let me reintroduce myself lol, Hi I'm Laura... and i'm an alcoholic... no? ok, Hi i'm Laura... and i am no longer a teenager *cries* I KNO RIGHT!!! I turned 20 last month, and am now like even more of an adult then i was when i turned 18, and i do not like it one bit.

So what have i been up to you ask? Not a hell of a lot actually, finishing my VCE (year 12) this year, only taking english and further maths because thats all i still need to do, and will be finished in october with exams starting late october and going to mid november. As i said i had my 20th birthday, which was made awesome by all the Happy Birthday's i got from you lovely ladies, and other friends, but have still not matured one single bit, and don't intend to do so until it is absolutely unavoidable... so basically never. I got two RED SOX hoodies from my parents, a red one and a white one, pics to follow, that i absolutely love, money and grog and jewelry from others, oh and two dresses from my grandparents.

Now i shall dump a WHOLE lot of photos on you i think, its always much easier to show then to tell, plus people get less bored that way i've found haha. (is that why people often like talk with their hands waving about everywhere???) I'll just post the best ones here, if you want to see more go check out my facebook, and if you aren't already my FB friend... ADD ME =D

Ok so first lot of photos, Lisa (friend) organized a PARTY BUS, literally a bus, that like you pay for to chauffer you round to clubs and what not for a night, was AWESOME, well what i remember was, and judging by the photos i was right, here are some of the good photos

OOOOOh yeah, i now have a cat =D It was a stray that over the last few months has adopted us, she is really cute, but has a rather striking face, you will see what i mean in the pics, once you get over the initial shock she is quite cute. We now officially own her, have taken her to the vet and got her vaccinated and microchipped and everything. We are certain she was abused as a kitten/young cat and then dumped, because to start with she was VERY wary and cautious, and still is to some degree, like a loud noise or a fast movement and she will run away and hide, and she doesn't like new people. Its funni really coz dad and I both rather dislike cats, but this one we really like. Her name is Lily, short for Tigerlily, because she is a tortoiseshell =D

And lastly pics from friday night, we went out just because we can lol. The red dress is one of my b'day prezzies from the grandparents.

So yeah basically, haven't been doing much cept going out and having fun, oh and i'm on like a diet, well not really, just counting calories, because i was SERIOUSLY unhappy with my weight, and now am going to the gym daily for about an hour and a half, and have so far lost 5 kilos and am much fitter, its so funni, i have guns and abs now, its awesome hahaha. I'm still wanting to lose a little more weight, but i'm MUCH happier about how i look then i was before lol. So basically, HIIIIII again all, sorry for the complete lack of anything of substance from me for like, ever!!! haha.

Oh and my aunty is having her 50th birthday party not next weekend but the one after, and its entitled "The Mad Hatters Masquerade" so its a costume party where you have to wear a big silly hat or mask and theoretically dress up as something from Alice in Wonderland, i am of course going as the Queen of Hearts, because i am ruler of all that is everything =D So i shall have pics and stories of that when that happens, haha.

Oh and i'm in the process of designing and saving up for a new tattoo =D I'm wanting stars of some kind either on my left hip or up my ribcage or maybe both, lol.

Anyway all, enough from me, i hope i haven't put you all to sleep!!!

I got tagged by shady76 to do this icon meme. She picked 6 of my userpics for me to talk about.

This was one of my earlier Mick icons. I love the scene of his turning, and the promo image of him passed out with blood caked to his neck (SHIRTLESS) was just hot! I specifically cropped Coraline out because, well, i hate the bitch, LOL. I used the blood red colour to add to the 'effect' of the crop.

This icon was made for a moonlightrumble challenge. It was a lyric challenge and as soon as i read the lyrics, that one popped out and i immediately knew the scene to use. I played around heaps with the colouring on this one, and it is quite different from the original base.

This scene is one of the best in the whole Moonlight season. It is such a powerful scene and Jason and Alex's performances were just amazing. I love the small animation with the neatly cropped background. Icon made by the amazing sterni75

This is another icon made for moonligtrumble. Fever is one of my fave Moonlight episodes, and i love how broken Mick looked in this cap, i used the episode title as the text, but it also doubles to convey the fever he was feeling due to the heat and what not. I decided to go B&W and add a hint of colour with the texture =D

Well, what more then IT IS THE KISS, needs to be said about this amazing creation of sterni75? Mick, Beth, confession of love and passionately kissing (i really like that we get to see both angles/sides of the kiss, one in the still and one in the anim)... *sigh* if ONLY we'd gotten to see more!!!

I made this icon, along with another similar icon for moonlightrumble but ended up entering the other one. I LOVED the scene in BC and the cap of Beth is just HOT, so i couldn't help myself but to make the icon. Personally i really like the B & W with just a hint of red =D

2 Media vids, ""42 or The meaning of Life", and "What's in my head"

Firstly, HI FLIST!!!! Sorry for the complete lack of anything other than the sporadic banner/icons posts lately. My fic muse has taken a long holiday with my permission, and is refusing to come home, seemingly just to piss me off... and it's working.

In other news, i'm currently on easter holidays, so YAY, i'm HOPING my muse will return for a while, but i highly doubt it atm.

Anyway, just making a post to show y'all my year 12 media video. It got first place at the school short film festival, and was recently shown in a larger sort of regional short film festival, there weren't placings or awards at this one, but it made the cut of the final showing out of a hundred or so, and 17 were shown.

Anyway, here it is called 42, and is an animation about the meaning of life. It took STUPIDLY LONG because it is all hand drawn and i had to draw every single fucking shot lol, some i was able to edit in photoshop but others i couldnt, so there is over 750 individual shots, LOL. And the annoying thing is now that its finished, every time i see it i see SOOOO many things i want to change or that I could have done better/different, like it's way too quick i think, so yeah its annoying =P

And here it is, now you can all here how creepy i sound =P

Oh, and if anyone is interested, here is the video i did for year 11 media. It's about mental illness, told from my POV and goes through what i suffer (depression, anxiety, adhd, ocd) and how i try to deal with it. (Yes i know the fact that i suffer these things may surprise some of you, as i come off as happy and up beat, but lets just say i hide things well) This vid is of a much lower standard, lol, it's rather embarassing actually, but meh fuck it lol.

Anyway, i hope that/they wasn't/weren't too boring =P I'd love to know what you thought though =P

[x]Summary: Takes place 2 nights and 1 day after Memories Unlocked . Beth returns home from Mick's to find a very worried boyfriend who wants an explination.

Beth felt like a new woman as she made her way to her apartment. The last few days had been stressful but enlightening for her, the trauma of being kidnapped and rescued, once again, and then seeing the face of her rescuer triggered her memory to finally let her in on the secrets it had kept from her.

She now remembered everything from her first kidnapping, every detail replayed in her mind like a film. A sense of calm and relief had finally settled over her tired mind as she hashed out the details of her first kidnapping with Mick, who told her he knew only what his father had told him, but Beth didn’t believe that for a second.

The second kidnapping was still a raw and touchy subject, and she broke down from fear at least once whilst talking with Mick, but was soon soothed by his touch and voice until the calm once more flooded her body.

Mick had told her in every detail, at her request, what had happened to her after leaving Professor Ellis with her shirt half open and heart racing. She asked him to fill in the gaps her drugged mind could not, and he did.

She laughed with him about how out of her mind she must have been, after recalling seeing Mick throwing Daniel into the air like a rag doll, Mick had joined in her laughter but his smile did not quite reach the corners of his mouth.

And now here she was, riding the elevator back up to her own apartment, an apartment that for some reason seemed like foreign territory after a day and two nights in Mick’s loft. For some reason she didn’t feel like she was coming home, but instead that she was leaving it.

The elevator dinged and Beth walked out and along the hallway to her door, looking down to the bag that hung from her shoulder Beth once more smiled. Mick had gone back to the room in which Ellis, whom was now long gone, had used for his study group and gathered her belongings to return to her.

Grabbing her keys Beth stuck the key in the lock and soon let out a scream as the door opened in front of her, being pulled forcefully open so much so that Beth fell straight through it, and into a firm, but warm, surface.

“Beth” Josh said in a panicked voice, gathering her surprised form into his arms and kissing her face all over.

“Oh my god, you’re ok” he said before claiming her lips in a kiss that made the hairs on the back of Beth’s neck stand on end, but not for the same reason they used to.

She pulled back surprised by the ferocity of Josh’s greeting.

“Josh, what are you doing here?” she asked as she stepped into her apartment and closed the door behind her.

“Praying that you were ok” Josh said as he grabbed Beth’s keys and placed them back in her purse before grabbing the bag and pulling it off her arm to set on the kitchen bench.

“Ah, thanks” Beth said, still a little bewildered by Josh’s behaviour.

“I was so worried” he said as he walked back over to her and once more took her into his arms, inhaling her scent and burying his head in the crook of her neck as his arms held her tight to him.

“Why?” Beth asked softly, placing her hands on Josh’s back and running them up and down in an attempt to calm him.

“You went undercover at the school and then you just disappeared, no one knew where you were, and then the cops found the body and the hairs, and I couldn’t get a hold of you, and thank god you’re ok” Josh said all in one breath making Beth’s head spin.

“Hold up, hold up, what body?” Beth said pulling back.

Josh chuckled slightly, “why am I not surprised you pick up on that before addressing the more pressing issue here?”

“The more pressing issue being?” Beth asked before taking Josh’s hand and guiding them to the couch.

“Where in the world were you?” Josh stated, surprised that Beth was being so nonchalant about her absence from the world.

“Oh, yeah, that” Beth replied with a slight blush, before shaking her head wondering how to tell Josh what had happened. Realising that from the moment she woke up in Mick’s apartment, until now, Josh had not entered her thoughts, thinking back over the amount of time she had been gone, and the circumstances, Josh must have been panicked.

“Yeah, that” Josh said a little defensively.

“Sorry, ah, how about a glass of wine, you might need it” Beth said, trying to be reassuring, but the look on Josh’s face told her she had done more harm then good.

“Ok, no wine” Beth said with a comforting smile, this did loosen Josh’s posture a little, but only slightly.

“Professor Ellis found that I was wearing a wire and kind of attacked me” Beth started, before being cut off by josh.

“He what? I’m gonna kill him” he said standing up.

“Calm down, no you won’t, he didn’t want to hurt me, just to get the wire and the recording device off me” Beth said pulling Josh back down onto the couch by the hand.

“But I got away from him, and ran into Daniel” Beth continued, before being cut off again by Josh.

“Jesus Beth, Daniel is the name of the body we found” Josh said running a hand roughly over his face.

“Yeah, I know” Beth said, breaking eye contact with Josh for a moment.

“How can you know?” Josh asked, turning to face her fully, one leg crossed over the other, his foot bopping nervously.

“I was there when it happened” Beth said, not realising how that sounded.

“You what?” Josh asked, jumping up from the couch once more.

“He attacked me,” Beth said, trying again to drag Josh back down to the couch, but he resisted her pull and instead began to pace.

“So then it’s self defence,” Josh said, starting to formulate Beth’s defence strategy.

“What? No, I didn’t kill him” Beth butted in, chuckling slightly.

“Oh, right, no of course not, what was I thinking” Josh said getting flustered once more.

“He drugged me” Beth added, causing Josh to stop his pacing and turn to her, standing stock still in the middle of her living room.

“That explains the syringe then” Josh said more to himself then Beth.

“Syringe?” Beth asked

“Found in Daniel’s car, along with long blonde hairs” Josh added, knowing he shouldn’t be telling Beth what the cops found, but also knowing Beth was there and guessing the DNA from the hairs would match hers.

“I remember him drugging me, and then putting me in the front seat of his car, so I’m guessing those hairs will be mine” Beth said way too calmly.

“If you were drugged and in the car, how did his body end up on the windshield of his car, with his spine snapped in two?” Josh asked, his voice that one of an attorney once more.

“Mick” Beth said softly, closing her eyes and once more remembering seeing Mick throw Daniel against the light pole.

“What?” Josh asked quickly.

“Mick” Beth replied, wondering what was so confusing to Josh.

“As in your stuffed vampire?” Josh asked, completely befuddled.

“What? No, not that Mick, another Mick, the man who saved me,” Beth said with a slightly wistful tone, before clarifying “from Daniel.”

“So there was a third party?” Josh asked, Beth laughed at how analytical he sounded.

“Yes” Beth replied.

“Who has he same name as your stuffed toy?” Josh countered.

“A mere coincidence” Beth covered, coincidence my ass

“The third party, or should I say Mick, knew I was in danger and then came to my rescue, Daniel was driving and then Mick was there, I think he must have slammed his car into Daniel’s, or something, I remember the car lurching to the side and I nearly slid out of the chair” Beth replied, she hadn’t seen Mick’s car, but she had seen Mick quite clearly, then again who knows what she saw she was pretty out of it.

“So real Mick, not stuffed Mick, knows you are in danger and then crashes his car into Daniels?” Josh surmises and asks for confirmation.

“Yes” Beth replied, leaning back into the couch.

“Then what?” Josh asks.

“Then Mick was gone, and Daniel slammed the car into a light pole or something, I was pretty out of it by then, I remember my door being opened and nearly falling out and then Daniel was holding something, long and thin, like an icepick or something. I could have sworn he stabbed Mick with it” Beth said, trying once more to straighten out her foggy memory.

“Wait, so Mick was back again?” Josh asked, stopping his pacing once more.

“Yeah, but he seemed to come out of nowhere, and I don’t remember much after that, a few bits and pieces but I wouldn’t trust them, I think they are delusions more then memories” Beth said, smiling slightly with embarrassment.

“Delusions, how so?” Josh asked.

“Well I remember seeing Daniel just go flying up into the light pole, like Mick had thrown him or something, even though that’s not possible, then he landed on the windshield” Beth said softly, shaking her head at the silliness of it.

“I must admit, that does sound more like a delusion then a memory,” Josh said with a smile, but it does fit with the evidence he thought to himself, as he moved to sit beside Beth on the couch once more.

“So Daniel is taken care, of, then what, this was two nights ago Beth” Josh said, worry written deep in his face.

“I remember Mick carrying me and putting me in his car, I think we went to the hospital because I remember bright lights being flashed in my eyes and getting a drip” Beth said, even thought she knew she didn’t go to the hospital, Josh didn’t need to know that.

“Why didn’t they call me?” Josh asked

“I didn’t have my purse with me so they didn’t have any contact information, and I was too drugged up to give them your number” Beth lied with ease, she scared herself how quickly the lie had come to her, and how easily it fell form her lips.

“Oh, that makes sense I guess, so you’ve been at the hospital the whole time?” Josh asked, hope barely hidden in his tone of voice.

“Ah, not exactly” Beth replied, feeling awkward all of a sudden.

“Not exactly?” Josh questioned, pushing for more information.

“Mick took me back to his place, they were full up at the ER and said I would be fine to be discharged when my fluid drip finished but I needed to be looked over for 36 hours” Beth blurted out, hiding her face from Josh, not wanting to see the pain that her words caused.

“Why didn’t you call me?” Josh asked, getting more peeved by the minute.

“I was still pretty out of it Josh, I’ve been asleep for most of the last two days” Beth said, another lie that felt bitter on her tongue, but was better then the alternative, telling Josh the truth, that he hadn’t even crossed her mind the whole time she had been with Mick, somehow that just wasn’t an option.

“So the hospital staff let a complete stranger take you home?” Josh asked angrily.

“Mick isn’t a stranger, he’s the one I bumped into the other night at the crime scene, before I totally flipped out because of how much he looks like his father” Beth said, deciding to take pity on Josh and give him a little information, call it a peace offering.

“His father?” Josh asked bewildered.

“His father is the one that found me when I was four” Beth said, turning to face Josh and seeing the colour in his face fade.

“Well, that’s one hell of a coincidence” Josh said, not even trying to hide the resentment in his tone.

“It is actually, Mick took over his father’s business when he died, he was looking into the Kelly Fosters’ murder, which I was covering for Buzzwire” Beth said truthfully.

“And what was his father’s business?” Josh asked, his interrogation voice in full flight.

“Private Investigations” Beth replied without missing a beat.

“So how did he know you were in trouble?” Josh asked, accusation lining his voice.

“Found the body of the second girl in the cafeteria, he was supposed to meet some of Ellis’s students to talk about what went on in the study groups, but the cafeteria was closed, he figured they had blown him off, but decided to take a look in through the window just to make sure no one was in there, he saw the dead body of the second girl and then raced off to find me, luckily getting to me just in time” Beth said recalling the events as Mick had told them to her.

“Wow” josh said, amazed at the circumstances, “that is pretty lucky.”

“Don’t I know it” Beth said with a smile.

Josh turned to face her with a pained look on his face, Beth knew that she had worried him, and hurt him, but it wasn’t intentional. She stood and walked over to where josh was before hugging him.

“I’m sorry for worrying you, it wasn’t on purpose,” she said kissing his cheek quickly.

“It’s ok, none of that matters now anyway, all I care about is that you are okay” Josh said hugging Beth tighter to him.

“Thanks to Mick I am” Beth said with a smile, happy that her face was out of Josh’s sight, as the smile that covered her face at the thought of Mick shone not just from her lips but her eyes as well.
